Burnham Clinic

The Mid Essex Primary Care Trust operates a clinic at Burnham-on-Crouch to provide some patient services without which patients would have to travel to Maldon.

About the Clinic

The Clinic is open from

      9.00am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday

                          9:00am to 4:00pm Friday

CLOSED FOR LUNCH FROM 12:30 – 1:30PM

Reception Staff are available to deal with your enquiries, please report to them on arrival.

The following indicates when the different Clinics are held. All Clinics are by appointment except the Child Health Clinic with Health Visitors.

The Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages attends by appointment. Telephone 01245 430700 for further details.

Hearing Help Essex

Attend the Clinic to help with hearing aid difficulties or queries. Please contact the Clinic for further details.

Hearing aid batteries

Hearing aid batteries and tubing are also distributed during clinic opening hours

Referrals

Your GP, School Health Adviser or Health Visitor can refer you to one of the Specialist Clinics held within the Clinic. You can also 'self refer' to our Podiatry service, providing you meet the necessary criteria. Unless indicated, we cannot offer 'Drop In' services.

Vitamin Drops

Vitamin drops can be obtained from the Clinic during opening hours with Healthy Living tokens.

Complaints or suggestions

We welcome any comments or suggestions you may have. If you have any particular concerns there is a complaints procedure that can be followed. Details are given on request from Reception staff.

Access to Health Records

The Access to Health Records Act of November 1991 gives you the right to read information about you written by staff employed by the Trust and kept in your notes. Reception staff will tell you how to obtain an Access request form.

Help us to help you

Please help us to provide the best possible service we can:

Ensure you are on time for your Appointment. If you cannot make the date or time please advise us beforehand so we can offer it to somebody else.

If you attend with your children, please bring something to keep them occupied.

bullet

Occasionally Clinics may run late, please bear with us. We will try and keep to times but cannot guarantee this.

bullet

If we do something good, please tell us.

bullet

If we can improve something, let us know.

bullet

Please keep the Clinic and grounds in good condition — do not leave rubbish around.

bullet

Please help us raise money to provide a better environment in the Clinic for Clients and staff. Donate good condition books, CD's, videos, or magazines. We sell books, greetings cards and videos. Please bring in any used printer cartridges. We offer a photocopying and fax service.
