Control Orders

Part 6 of the Government 'Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act 2005' empowers local authorities to make Dog Control Orders providing for an offence or offences relating to the control of dogs in respect of any land in its area.

There are three Dog Control Orders affecting the Althorne Recreation Ground: 

bullet

The Fouling of Land by Dogs (District of Maldon) Order 2008, enacted by Maldon District Council, which covers any land within the administrative area of Maldon District Council which is open to the air, including covered land which is open to the air on at least one side, and to which the public are entitled or permitted to have access with or without payment.

bullet

Dog on Lead (Parish of Althorne) Order 0001, enacted by Althorne Parish Council, which covers the areas specified on the map in schedule 1 of the order.

bullet

The Dogs Exclusion (Parish of Althorne) Order 0002, enacted by Althorne Parish Council, which covers the area specified on the map in schedule 1 of the order.
