Viking Community Transport

What is Viking Community Transport?

In its simplest terms it provides transport for residents within the Maldon district who have difficulty travelling.

Viking Community Transport recognise the fact that many people within the district find themselves unable to jump into a car or use public transport for their local journeys, whether it be for shopping, doctors appointments or simply visiting friends or family.

How is the transport provided?

Viking Community Transport is a non-profit making scheme funded by Essex County Council and supported by Maldon District Council.

The scheme utilises volunteer minibus & car drivers and their cars to meet the needs of individuals within the district who, for whatever reason, are unable to use private transport and are unable to access conventional public transport.
