Standing Orders The council is required to draft and adopt a set of Standing Orders, which are a set of procedures defining the way in which council meetings and business is conducted. Several procedures and practices are legal and mandatory. Each year the council has to review and ,if necessary, amend the Standing Orders and sign up to their adoption. The latest amendment to the Standing Orders were adopted at an extraordinary meeting in April 2009
